June

Where has the time gone... I had a Job interview on June 1st and was not the successful candidate but that's ok I'm sure there will be other opportunities that will cross my path. If it's meant to be...it will happen for me. June 4 we were able to celebrate my son's 25th birthday. Mom and Dad had a nice dinner and we enjoy seeing Joe as he has been a scarce fixture in our lives for some years now and it's nice to know that he can venture back to us and share special moments with his family. He's looking better and seems to be doing well, but again as we don't see him often there is still a lot of distance between us. There was not a lot of changes work wise so nothing too much to report on that end, which is ok I guess as I didn't really want to have my blog become a dump for the work stuff. I wanted it to be about life stuff and as such since work consumes so much of your life I guess it can't be avoided. My grand daughter is becoming more active and enjoys spending time with mommy at work and Amanda joined a pilates class two nights a week for an hour - so guess who gets to try and occupy miss Isabella while she tries to tell me "I want my mommy" - she is suffering from separation anxiety and when her mother disappears around the corner she "screams to high heaven" so needless to say - I thank god when Amanda walks through that door and relieves me of my duties. I love my precious but my goodness child give your mother a break for a little while. Grandma is not so bad....We enjoy spending time outside and went to Red Willow Park to enjoy some water fun and this last weekend we spent the day at the zoo and let me just say it sure hasn't changed from when we were young. Less and less animals appear in those cages and stables and I just don't know how they keep that place up. I loved seeing Lucy walking about and eating grass in the open, wasn't too fond of seeing the wolves out for a stroll but I guess they have the run of the place. The girls enjoyed the new electric train and Amanda loves the lemurs - still giggling. Dave spent the weekend away at the lake with some buddies and judging by the pics he posted he enjoyed himself as well. July will be very memorable with Canada Day celebrations, a trip to Innisfail and a fun weekend with my sister (Discovery Wildlife Park), Dave's 20th birthday, dinner plans with some special friends, and a reunion with my dads family. Good times ahead...stay tuned
