So here it is time for my monthly blog. October is my favorite month and I would like to tell you why. It ends as fast as it begins. Fall is a time for change, in the air, in the scenery, in my life and it happens to be my grand daughters birthday. Thanksgiving was spent enjoying an afternoon game of football and having a great dinner at home. I got the opportunity to go back to New Brunswick for a week with my friend and her son to enjoy the celebration of her grandmparents 65th wedding anniversary. We had a splendid time tasting the yummo seafood that there seems to always be. The end of October we celebrated my grand daugthers birthday with a day of my parents coming in for a nice BBQ and yummo peanut butter-butter cream cake and 1 day of fun with friends at Kidz Quarterz in Sherwood Park. Isabella loves looking after babies and my parents really came through with a new baby and a gorgeous quilted blanket that my mom made to wrap her baby in, they also gave her a little tea set with a set of dishes and a dish rack (cause she loves doing dishes both at work and at home). Isabella also got to open her present from both of her Uncle Dave who bought her playdoh and accesories and colouring and activity books as well as from Uncle Joe who paid a visit at Gobble a few days before but Isabella was sleeping and missed the opportunity to see him. Amanda went shopping though with the money that he gave her and Isabella got to open her Mega Blocks Table which she absolutely loves and it just so happens to go with the bag of Mega Blocks that she got last year for christmas. The next morning I received news of my Nan passing away. Nan may you enjoy seeing Granddad once again <3 and forever be in our memories RIP

I want to be remembered as someone that was there. I mean available. I love to create memories with my grand child. I have read many posts recently about memories of loved ones that have now passed. I struggle with my memories, as I can't recall a lot of childhood memories with my grandparents, or cousins since I didn't spend a lot of time with them growing up. Both my parents relatives lived a distance away. I hear of others recall memories of their childhood and the time they spent with others with gratitude. When I think back on my past I have feelings of sadness and missed opportunities. I look at my grand daughter and hope that she remembers the trips we took, the time we laughed playing silly games, reading stories and knows that it was time well spent and worth remembering. January 2010

So here goes, it's 2010 and I have created a blog. I have wanted to blog for awhile but just wasn't sure on what I really wanted to say. My older sister has been blogging for awhile and always look forward to reading the latest happenings in her life. My reason for blogging is just to share some thoughts, or maybe remember my own thoughts of what is happening in my life throughout the year. December 2012

I know, I know, I'm posting and haven't posted since July. I don't know why. I do know why....I feeel like my blogs are the same...i have been so preoccupied with other things that I haven't taken the time as I should to dedicate to my blog. I apologize..this was really something that I wanted to keep up with at this stage of my life to keep me on track with the day to day things that were happening. I forget sometimes that life has a way of taking over and one day rolls into one week, one month, and so on. My plate really isn't that full, but my thoughts about other things that aren't important are taking over from what is really important. I'm hoping that 2013 will see me reflecting more on the "what's important to me". So since July let's see if I can't recall what has been happening in my "busy" life.
